Understanding Windows Live Framework & Mesh

Developers can now utilize the Microsoft Live Framework to implement applications that are occasionally-connected. In this session, I will provide an overview of the Live Framework and Mesh platform architecture and explain the goals of the technology. While the focus will be on the Live Framework SDK and resource model and how to access it, the three main types of applications which it supports will also be discussed and demonstrated.
John Blumenauer is Director of Software Engineering for Metrico Wireless,Inc. in Frederick, MD. Before working in the wireless industry, John designed and developed applications of all sizes in a variety of areas, including aerospace/defense, point of sale, engineering and financial. During John’s 13-year career in software development, he has worked with a variety of languages and has contributed to projects of all sizes, including large scale enterprise applications. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and valuable experience with the development community by speaking at code camps and user groups throughout the region.
